Hand formed and uniquely shaped - metal twists and turns into the shape of {butterfly}. Not the insect, but the swimming style; both arms lifting gracefully out of the water, head lifted, turquoise swimming cap on her head. A copper wire is hand forged, shaped, textured, tarnished, and polished to reveal a beautiful organic finish. The center of the shape is a loop that is wire wrapped together with thin copper wire. From the center i arches outward, with a loop around at the elbow, and hands swirled back at the ends. Square turquoise beads are wrapped to the center loop, evenly spaced along the outer edge. The elbow loops are decorated with more beads, hanging loosely from the shape. Two jump rings connect the form to a simple copper chain. A lobster clasp sits at the back, allowing for easy opening and secure closing.

All copper has been oxidized and buffed before being treated with a microcrystalline wax to preserve the finish– this is the same wax used to preserve artwork in museums without changing its appearance.
